Our Staff:
Marina - Patient Coordinator
Marina is the first smiling face you will see when you walk into our office. She loves greeting all of our patients and helping them feel right at home from the moment they walk in. One of Marina's favorite things to do at our practice is to help patients handle their insurance obstacles so that all of our patients can get the most out of their insurance packages.
In her spare time Marina enjoys baking and cooking. Come summer time, she enjoys camping and wake boarding with her family. In the winter, she loves to head up to the mountains to go snowboarding with her family.
Emma - R.D.A.E.F./Assistant Patient Coordinator
Emma has been with Dr. Chew since 2000. She has four beautiful children and lives here in the bay area with her husband and family. She likes to keep busy by spending time with her children. She is involved with her children's PTA. A few of Emma's favorite things are cooking ,camping and traveling.
Emma's dedication to the office shines through in her work. She is very devoted to patient care and always makes sure that the patient is comfortable at all times.
Amy - Assistant, RDA
Amy has been interested in the Dental field since she was a child. Going to her routine check-ups sparked her interest in Dental Assisting. Amy graduated from the Foothill College Dental Assisting Program in June 2012, and has been working with Dr. Chew since July 2012.
In her spare time Amy enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She also loves going to U-Jam fitness class.
Yen - Hygienist, RDH
Yen has been with Dr. Chew since 2006. She received her bachelor in Dental Hygiene at the University of New Mexico in 2005. She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico but relocated to San Jose.
She has a love for the outdoors, from camping, white water rafting, to hiking. During the winter, she loves going to Lake Tahoe to snowboard. During the summer , she loves to bike the beautiful trails of the Bay Area. Last year, Yen ran the Rock n Roll half marathon in San Jose, and that was a big accomplishment for her. She wishes to continue training for half marathons, and hopefully one day, a full marathon....and perhaps even a triathlon in the future!! Yen loves to try different things, and of course different types of food. Her most recent interest is salsa dancing.
Erica, R.D.H.
Erica is one of the newest members to join Dr. Chew's team. She received her Dental Assisting Credential in 2004 from Central County Occupational Center, her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry in 2007 from California State University East bay and her second Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013 from West Coast University. With over nine years of experience in the Dental field, Erica takes pride in patient care, and strives to make each dental cleaning appointment comfortable and memorable.
Erica enjoys traveling, trying new exotic foods, oil painting, snowboarding, bicycling, yoga, wine tasting, community services, leisure time with loved ones, and her latest interest is encountering new recipes on Pinterest.
